Cold winds arrived and rain soaked Lemoore and much of the Valley on Sunday. The rains filled up many of the ponding basins around the city, including the Kings Lions Park. The storm was expected to disappate by Monday and the rest of the week is expected to be sunny.

The storm is also expected to dump several feet of snow in the Sierra Nevada mountains, which in turn may help to fill up the state's reservoirs in the spring. Ski resorts are also expected to benefit from the winter storm.
