Lemoore volunteers honored at annual dinner held February 25

A number of local persons and organizations were honored Februrary 25 at the annual Lemoore Volunteer Dinner, held in the Lemoore Recreation Complex. They were honored for their efforts to make Lemoore a better place in which to live.

The Lemoore Recreation Department joined forces with the Lemoore Police Department to honor all of the 2015 volunteers that currently run local programs, keep law enforcement informed, and keep the city’s kids happy and safe.

Local leaders named the local Fil-Am Association as the city’s Organization of the Year. The Police Officer of the Year was Corporal Osvaldo Maldonado and Recreation Volunteers were air-rifle instructors Harry Zinser and Richard Lehn, both of whom have offered over 200 hours to local youth.
