Former Tiger football coach Shannon Pulliam takes over Hoover High program

Pulliam spent four years in Lemoore, and judging from his record, did a pretty good job. Puliam’s teams went 35-13 during his four-year run, including three West Yosemite League championships. Just this past year the Tigers once again defeated Hanford for the league championship, but the Bullpups went on to win a state championship. Go figure.
Pulliam resigned following the season after he was sidelined by school officials for the Tigers Central Valley title game against Ridgeview High School, which Lemoore lost.
His decision to resign comes about two months following an incident in which he was investigated by school officials for allegedly promoting a post-practice fight among teammates. Pulliam denied the incident but said he might have done more to prevent it.
He did not coach the championship game at Ridgeview, but was at the game, which the Tigers lost.
Pulliam is the fifth football coach in the past seven seasons at Hoover. The Patriots have struggled in recent years, amassing an unimpressive 11-43 the past five seasons.
While Hoover has a new coach, Lemoore hired Oregon native Mitch Crossley to take over for Pulliam. He began his new job as a head coach and math teacher on June 6. He comes from Montgomery High School in Santa Rosa.
