Tiger marksmen take third in Las Vegas NJROTC shooting championships

Lemoore High School's two nationally ranked NJROTC marksmanship teams participated in the 2nd annual Crosman Challenge National Sporter Air Rifle Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada from December 27th - December 29th.

This was an invitation only event consisting of the top 15 marksmanship teams from the entire western United States.  Participating teams traveled as far away as New Mexico, Colorado, California and Arizona for this national event.  

After three consecutive days of shooting, Lemoore "Team A" placed 3rd overall, and Lemoore "Team B" placed 9th overall out of the 15 participating teams.

Lemoore NJROTC's Aaron Dorfmeier stood out as one of the top 8 overall shooters who competed in the final event on Thursday afternoon.  After the last event on day three, Dorfmeier placed 6th overall out of the 72 shooters entered in this competition. 

Lemoore NJROTC's next event is Saturday, January 7th at Parlier High School, where they will compete in the NJROTC Area-11 Marksmanship Championships.
