Lemoore Elementary will re-display contents of 1967 time capsule thanks to demand
Lemoore Elementary Principal Amy Garcia, Rich Rhoads and Randy Rhoads revisit past lives at initial time capsule viewing in April.
According to Lemoore Elementary School’s principal, Amy Garcia, the school had many requests to view the items. “We didn’t want to rush anyone who wanted to look at all the items,” she said.

Garcia said the school will display the many items, which ranged from handwritten letters to baseball cards, on June 12 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and again on June 13 from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the school’s library.
It was in April that the school dug up the time capsule, hidden from view by the school’s library. It was placed there at the library’s dedication in 1967. About 200 persons showed up at the school’s cafeteria on April 21 to refresh their memories and discover items they placed in the vault five decades ago.
