The “Legends of Lemoore Cemetery Walk” scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 30, promises to be a unique event featuring a living history of Lemoore’s past citizens, many portrayed by costumed characters representing several early pioneers.

The “Legends” can be found at their characters’ actual gravesites in the Lemoore Cemetery. The chamber event is a unique opportunity to learn about Lemoore’s history.   The Sarah Mooney Museum is sponsoring this event with the aid of the Lemoore High School Drama Department and the NJROTC.   All proceeds will be used to fund improvements at the Mooney Museum.

Tickets ($12 per person) for the event are available at the Lemoore Chamber of Commerce Office.   Shaded seating will be available, as well as a cart for those who are unable to walk between the gravesites.   Ticket times are at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Steven Walker will portray 19th Century lawman Oscar Beaver, believed the first Kings County lawman killed in the line of duty.
