The Christmas season has officially started, that is if you live in Lemoore. If you happened to wander downtown Lemoore on Sunday, about noon and saw a bunch of volunteer firemen erecting a huge tree at the intersection of D Street and Fox, then it’s official, the city’s holiday season is underway.
The Lemoore Volunteer Fire Department, as charged, did its duty Sunday afternoon as they put the finishing touches on the annual downtown tree about 1 p.m.
Just down the street, the Sarah Mooney Museum conducted tours, put on a car show, and added to the Christmas spirit with its Holiday Open House.
And on December 2 the downtown comes to life once again with the Lemoore Chamber of Commerce Annual Christmas Parade, scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
There’s more on tap as the extended Christmas season continues. On Dec. 3 the Lemoore Lions and the city’s recreation department host Breakfast with Santa at the Lemoore Recreation Complex on Cinnamon Avenue, beginning at 8 a.m. Breakfast tickets are $7 for anyone over five years old. Children are free.
On Dec. 9, prepare for the 9th Annual Community Christmas Dinner at the Lemoore Recreation Center.
