Lemoore’s Kings Christian High School girls’ volleyball team took its first step towards a Division 5 championship when the Lady Crusaders dealt a decisive blow to Delano's Kennedy High School’s title hopes with a 3-0 victory Thursday night in the school’s gym.

Thursday’s victory was a first-round Division 5 matchup. The No. 6 seed Crusaders have a second-round match scheduled Tuesday night (Oct. 30) at home. The winner of Tuesday's game will play the winner of the Delano High, Frazier Fountain contest on Nov. 1 in the semi-finals.
