In his first term in Congress, TJ Cox has earned another seat, no less the chairmanship, on the Natural Resources Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations.

Leadership also named to the Critical Water, Oceans, and Wildlife Subcommittee.

Earlier in the term, the House Democratic Steering and Policy Committee named Cox to the House Committee on Agriculture, which oversees renewable energy, rural development, nutrition, crop insurance, conservation, international trade, futures market regulations and much more.

"I am honored by the faith placed in me by my colleagues in naming me to these subcommittees,” said Cox. “I have been clear from the beginning that I will always work to protect and enhance the Central Valley's access to clean drinking water, and this post will allow me to do just that.”

He said he was proud to earn a spot – as a freshman – as chairman of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations. “This Administration has waged an all-out assault on California's water and coastlines, air, and forests. We were elected to restore accountability to Washington, and as Chairman of this important subcommittee, I will work tirelessly to fulfill that promise."
