Lemoore’s softball team fell to 2-4-1 after Tuesday’s (March 20) home loss Tuesday against Tulare Western. The Tigers took the game into the ninth inning before Western scored the go-ahead run and then held the Tigers scoreless in their half of the ninth.

Lemoore will open West Yosemite League play on Friday (March 22) at home against Redwood. Game time is 4:30 p.m.

Tulare Western got on the board early with a three-run second inning and then added another run in the fourth to take a 4-0 lead against the Tigers.

However, Lemoore fought back with four runs in their half of the fifth inning to tie the game. Leading the Tiger charge was Selina Perez who scored a run, had a pair of hits and drove home two runs to cut the gap. McKenzie Dutra had a hit and RBI while Jacky Esquer had a couple of hits and brought home a run.

Leslie Segura and Tomi Ford combined forces in the nine-inning game. Ford, who pitched the final five innings, suffered the loss.
