Lemoore’s struggling baseball team will end its season on Thursday (May 2) on its home turf against cross-county rival Hanford. The Bullpups, on Tuesday, in Hanford, beat the Tigers 5-4 with a run in the seventh and then a run in their half of the eighth.

The Tigers are 1-8 heading into the season’s final game Thursday. They are 8-17 overall and will undoubtedly miss the CIF Central Section playoffs again. The Bullpups are 5-4 in the WYL and 12-11 overall.

Despite scoring four runs, including two in the opening stanza and one if the second to take a 3-0 lead, Lemoore could muster just four hits on the day, including hits from Justin Holaday, Aaron Edwards Aaron Murrieta, and Jimmy Caldera. Holaday scored twice in the game.

The Bullpups bats knocked out ten hits on the game, most of them coming against Lemoore pitcher Holaday, who went six and two-thirds innings for the Tigers. He also managed to strike out nine Bullpups during his stint on the mound.
