Lemoore fans got a two-for-one evening Friday night when the school's student body elected its new Homecoming king and queen who were crowned during the game's elaborate halftime ceremony.
Furthermore, the school's resurgent football team crushed visiting Mt. Whitney, earning a shot at knocking off undefeated Hanford this Friday in Neighbor Bowl. A win will give the Tigers a share of the West Yosemite League championship.
The big winners during Homecoming were new Queen Kennedy Rodrigues and King Jojo De La Mora, both of whom took a victory lap after Friday night's elaborate halftime ceremony. Other homecoming candidates included Abby Del Campos, Christina Nguyen, Anthony Zaragoza, Jacqueline Bermudez, Justin Holaday, Jennifer Paez, Mathew Ramirez, Will Schalde, Mariah Gomez and Chris Taylor.
The Lemoore's downtown D Street was the scene of the annual Homecoming Parade, which livened up the downtown area around 3 p.m.
