It gets bigger every year. The Lemoore Rotary Club Crab Feed celebrated its 39th year Saturday night when hundreds of crab enthusiasts converged on the Lemoore Cinnamon Complex for a night of seafood, gifts, raffles, music, and a silent auction.
This year the Rotarians, one of Lemoore’s most active clubs, celebrated its 61st anniversary in Lemoore. The local Rotary Club was formed in 1958. The annual crab feast is one of Lemoore’s most significant dinners.
The Lemoore Rotary Club prides itself on its devotion to the community and international service, a hallmark of Rotary International. Over the years, Lemoore Rotary has helped to develop parks, provided books and dictionaries to local schools, sponsored Neighborhood Watch, traveled to far-away places to dig wells for clean water, and more than uphold the club's motto: "Service Above Self." The club currently meets at noon every Tuesday.
