Lemoore's Officer Jonathan Diaz takes his final patrol down Hanford Armona Road
Diaz was honored again by the Lemoore Fire Department. The volunteers hoisted their American flag as the Diaz hearse, accompanied by his fellow law enforcement brothers and sisters, made its way down Hanford Armona Road. A contingent of onlookers and friends waved American flags.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday at the church, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The church is located at 870 N. Lemoore Avenue.
A Vigil service was scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday. Following the funeral mass on Friday, Diaz will be interred at Sunflower Fields Cemetery.
Officer Jonathan Diaz logged his final call on November 2, 2019. Having served three years with the Lemoore Police Department and two years with the Huron Police Department, Officer Diaz passed away tragically at the age of 31.

Jonathan Diaz was born to Juan Diaz and Blanca Vasquez in Hanford, California, on April 14, 1988. A significant accomplishment in his life was completing his associate degree and POST training. His family will remember his outgoing spirit, his fellow officers and sisters and brothers in law enforcement. His dedicated, unselfish service will never be forgotten.
Jonathan is survived by his parents Juan Diaz and Blanca Vasquez; his girlfriend Victoria Gonzalez; his children Elmer Jonathan Diaz Jr., Damian Diaz, and Stephanie Nicole Diaz; his siblings, Juan Antonio Diaz, Kevin Diaz, and Carlos Diaz. He also leaves behind his maternal grandmother, Paulina Azurdia, his paternal grandfather Rufino Vasquez and his colleagues from the Lemoore Police Department.
