The dark skies and impending rains that threatened a soggy Lemoore Christmas Parade failed to materialize Saturday night as Lemoore Chamber of Commerce's annual salute to the holidays went off without a hitch, nary a raindrop in sight.
As it is several thousand parade enthusiasts enjoyed another festive parade, one that began promptly at 6 p.m. and ended about an hour later as the large crowds managed to keep dry throughout the colorful and entertaining procession down Lemoore’s D Street.
Included in the hour-long review were a pair marching bands, colorful floats, cheerleaders, demonstration teams, lots of kids, cars and of course a visit from Santa Claus riding high atop his Lemoore Volunteer Fire Department sleigh, suspiciously disguised as a fire truck.
