Lemoore traveling vagabonds, the Lemoore RV Club, host Feb. 12 Open House

The Lemoore RV Club (which includes members from surrounding communities) has been in existence now for nearly three years, and members have enjoyed a plethora of fun trips and gatherings. 

In 2019 alone, members camped at Lake San Antonio, Bass Lake, Three Rivers, Morro Bay, Wishon Lake, Lake Cachuma, Lake Havasu, and Laughlin, Nevada.  They also had a fun summer evening together in the “Bullpen” at a Grizzlies’ baseball game. 

At the Feb. 12 Open House, a list of 2020 RV trips (including a two-week Oregon trip) and other planned events will be available.  Most camping trips are 5-7 nights and include several potlucks and special events, such as a Cornhole Tournament or a melodrama. 

Some members love to play golf, fish, go on wine-tasting excursions, make side trips to explore the surrounding areas or rent a pontoon boat to enjoy a few hours on a lake. Others may enjoy hanging out at the campground and visiting, playing games, assembling a jigsaw puzzle, or maybe just reading a good book.  

There is usually a campfire in the evening for impromptu gatherings, and if our fishermen get lucky, there is a big fish fry for all to enjoy the fruits of their labor! 

Membership in the City of Lemoore-sponsored Club is just $15 per year, per family.  There are 20 RV’s currently registered for the 2020 year.  For anyone who is unable to attend the Open House, but would like more information, e-mail Juan Cuevas at jcuevas@lemoore.com -   or call him at 924-6744 ext. 727.
