Tigers get big golf tourney win. Cade Fisher leads way with 79 in local match

Lemoore’s Cade Fisher recorded his team’s lowest round during Tuesday’s (Feb. 25) home golf tournament, leading the Tigers to the tournament championship, firing a team-low 79. Highland’s Madhav Raja turned in the tournament’s lowest score, firing a 79 over the 18-hole course.

The Tigers beat out 16 visiting teams to win the overall tournament with 434 points. Redwood finished second overall with 438 points.

As a team, while Fisher turned in the low score, Iveen Barrios and Sage Barrios both shot a pair of 84s while Jake Locke turned in a 93 to help lead the Tigers to the win. Josh Warner had a 94 while Nick Quassy finished with a 100.

The Tigers also played in a tournament in Paso Robles on Thursday (Feb. 27) finishing fourth overall with a combined 448 score. Buchanan High won the tourney with a combined score of 378. Barrios fired an 81 to lead the Tigers and Josh Warner finished with an 88. The Tigers are back on the links with a home match on Mar. 3 against Tulare Union.
