Lemoore City Council takes up coronavirus implications and impacts at Tuesday meeting

Lemoore’s city manager, while planning to discuss the virus’s implication with the city council, told The Leader that essential city services would continue to run as normal. “The water will still flow, and the garbage will still get picked up,” said Nathan Olsen matter-of-factly.

Councilmembers could opt to declare a state of emergency, but all essential services will continue. There will be no changes in the delivery of water, water schedules, or weekly refuse collections.

Tuesday night’s agenda remains brief but includes a pair of public hearings, one of which is an ordinance related to water service rates and charges, delinquent bills, and the discontinuance of service. The other is to approve future refuse rate increases and adjustments.
