Life goes on during a pandemic, and so does the annual Thursday Night Market Place, held every spring in Hanford’s downtown. Wearing protective facemasks and visiting a sanitation station, about 200 people showed up for the spring’s first Thursday night Market Place.
It was certainly a “clean” environment for the Market Place where visitors purchased fruits and vegetables in an antiseptic environment. There were even masks for sale – at $10 a pop.
Over a dozen local vendors sold fruits, including strawberries and blueberries. There were plenty of vegetables for sale, including beefsteak tomatoes and onions.
The weekly Market Place continues next Thursday from 5-8 p.m. and will continue throughout the summer.
About a dozen local businesses and Main Street Hanford sponsored the annual event.
