Lemoore’s sporting scene continues as the 2020-21 school year winds down. Currently, Lemoore High School continues many of its spring sports, including baseball and softball, but sports normally associated with the winter are currently playing limited schedules.

Lemoore’s varsity boys’ baseball team had been on a tear for much of the spring, playing a full schedule, as is Lemoore’s softball team. The Tiger boys’ diamond team is currently in the midst of an impressive season turning in a 10-5 record but has struggled in the West Yosemite League, compiling an early 2-3 record.

The Tigers lost a heartbreaker on April 20, losing to visiting Hanford 3-0. Today (May 4), Lemoore hosts visiting Mt. Whitney and hopes to end a three-game losing streak.  Game time is 4:15 p.m.

The Tigers softball team is struggling somewhat in this unusual season. Overall, the Lady Tigers are 1-8 and 0-1 in the West Yosemite League. Lemoore is at El Diamante today (May 4) as league action continues.

Lemoore’s boys’ and girls’ basketball teams are playing limited schedules. The varsity boys are 3-1 and will tackle Hanford West High School on Wednesday, May 5.  Lemoore’s girls’ team is 2-2 overall as it continues playing a nine-game season. The ladies' next contest is at Hanford on May 14 at 7 p.m.
