Local golf tournament brings in over 80 golfers over 60 years old and five players over 80 years old

The Lemoore Golf Course and Kings Lions Club recently held their Old Farts Tournament at the local course and watched as 80 golfers over the age of 60 participated in the May 26 event. The tourney was a shotgun start at 8 a.m. and the format a two-person scramble with no handicaps. Included in the 80 golfers who participated were 22 veterans and five players over 80 years old.

The big winners are as follows:

First place: Ed Kinder and Wayne Statler (66)

Second Place: Bill Engel and Frank Oaxaca (68)

Third Place: Manuel Arevalo and Rick Koelwyn (68)

Fourth Place DW Venturella and Mike Craft (69)

Fifth Place: Leland Barnett and Al Ferraiz (70)
