The victim told authorities he had been involved in an argument with a female earlier in the evening. Shortly after the argument, the victim was in his bedroom when he heard a knock on the bedroom door. Villegas accused the victim of “messing” with his girlfriend. According to the sheriff’s report, he also told the victim he was going to kill him, and he stabbed the victim again.

The victim then retrieved his own knife from inside the bedroom. Deputies report that when Villegas spotted the victim holding a knife, he fled the residence. The suspect was located a short time later by deputies and detained.
