WHC Lemoore Lady Golden Eagles hoopsters drop key game to visiting College of the Sequoias

The West Hills College Lemoore women’s basketball team fell to 15-11 after a disappointing loss to visiting College of the Sequoias on Friday (Feb. 18). The Lady Golden Eagles fell 71-60 with just one more game on the schedule, a home game against Porterville.

The leading scorer for the Golden Eagles was Sade Booker-Honeycutt, who finished with a team-high 14 points. Audrey Gonzalez Alvarez and Jada Heights each scored 11 points to keep WHC close.

The Lady Golden Eagles did keep it close, outscoring Sequoias 22-18 in the first quarter, but the Lady Giants rebounded in the second and third quarter, outscoring Lemoore 42-23 to take a comfortable lead into the final quarter.
