Kings County students, including Lemoore youngsters, attend annual Farm Day

Kings County’s Annual Farm Day, held Thursday (March 17) at the Kings Fairgrounds, welcomed 1,150 third graders from all over Kings County, including Lemoore students. The third graders learned about crop dusting by a pilot and his helicopter, how to grow pistachios, and the importance of dairy animals in agriculture.

Students were accompanied by volunteers from 4-H and teachers from their respective schools. A bag lunch was served as well as Ice cream.

Students also got a close look at how a farm works, including inspecting farm equipment of all sorts.
