Tigers continue to roll at Dinuba with 28-14 victory; Lemoore tackles Tulare Western Friday and Hanford in regular season finale

The Tigers continued their assault on the West Yosemite League Friday, outlasting Dinuba 28-14 in a game Dinuba threatened to keep close – at least in the first quarter. The Tigers are 7-1 overall and 3-0 in the West Yosemite League.
The Emperors struck first with about eight minutes left in the second quarter when Dinuba’s CJ Hernandez completed a five-yard pass to Daniel De Santiago for a touchdown and a brief 7-0 lead over the Tigers.
Finally, at about the quarter’s five-minute mark, Lemoore hit paydirt when Andrew Moench tied the game at 7-7 with his 19-yard touchdown run.
With under a minute left in the first half, Tiger quarterback Ty Chambers scored on a running play from 14 yards out for a 14-7 lead.
Late in the third quarter, Chambers found Demel Turner on a 52-yard touchdown pass, and Jayden Evangelo’s PAT put the Tigers on top 21-7.
Chamber followed up his third-quarter TD pass with an 81-yard competition to his favorite receiver that night, turning the Tiger margin to 28-7.
Dinuba scored late in the game on a CJ Hernandez pass to Eddie Sanchez from 44 yards out. To close the gap to 28-14, and that is where it ended.
