Kings Christian’s Allison Azevedo (class of 2023) earned a spot on the Fresno Bee Volleyball Fabulous 40 for the Central Valley. She was also the East Sequoia League’s MVP leading Kings Christian to a 14-8 record last season, finishing at 8-0 record in the East Sierra League. Azevedo, a senior, led the ESL in digs (188) and serving aces (67) and was third in kills (104).

Martha Azevedo (Allison’s Mom) – “Allison gives 100% to everything she puts her mind to in sports, academics, and following Jesus,” said Azevedo’s mother, Martha. “She has been a student at Kings Christian School since pre-kindergarten and has made lifelong friendships. As her parents, we’ve always reminded her ‘oh the mountains you can move’ when Jesus is directing your path.”

Principal Kevin Dalafu added: “Seeing Allison on the Volleyball Fabulous 40 list is not a surprise. She has always been a fantastic volleyball player and works very hard at her craft. Not only is she a leader on the court, but Allison is also the President of the High School Student Leadership Team. We look forward to seeing how God uses her in the future.”

The Crusaders’ head coach, Todd Martin also had positive words for her star volleyball player. “Since her freshman year, Allison has had a mindset to grow and improve as a player. She was always open to instruction and ways to improve each aspect of her game. This continued growth was evident throughout her high school years and led to her achievements this season both as an individual player and a team member.”
