Lemoore’s Isaiah Morales beat Buchanan’s Alec Dansby in the heavyweight finals of the Central Valley Masters, recently held in Lemoore,  and has earned a trip to the California Wrestling Championships. Joining him will be Jason McDonald who beat Dinuba’s Jasias Carrasco at 115 pounds for seventh place.

Buchanan High School took the first-place team honors while Clovis finished second.

The California State Wrestling Championships will be held Feb. 23-25 at Bakersfield’s Mechanics Bank Arena Feb. 23-25.

Lemoore’s Morales will open the state tournament with a match against Charter Oaks High School’s Hector Jimenez. McDonald will tackle Elk Grove’s Octavio Negrete in the second round of the 113 division in Bakersfield.
