Lemoore High School's Demel Turner named West Yosemite League's Player of the Year in basketball as the Tigers were undefeated at 10-0 in league

After posting a 21-7 overall record in the recently concluded Lemoore High School basketball season, West Yosemite League coaches named their all-league selections. The Tigers’ Demel Turner led the pack, picked as the West Yosemite League Player of the Year.

The Tigers fashioned a 10-0 record in the tough WYL and were 21-7 overall. A standout football player, Turner has committed to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, to play football for the Mustangs.

Lemoore High School’s Joel Sligh was named WYL Coach of the Year.

Other Lemoore athletes to earn all-league honors included Ty Chambers, who was named to the WYL First Team.

Lemoore High's Kobe Green, Kaleb Goudeau, and Kaden Lopes were all WYL Second Team selections.
