Kings County educators celebrated at 42nd Annual Excellence in Education Awards held April 18 in Hanford's Fox Theater
Kings County Superintendent, Todd Barlow, was on hand to assist in recognizing employees and teachers from districts throughout Kings County.
Lemoore area schools honorees included the following teachers and educational staff: Michael Sierze, teacher, Liberty Middle School; Cormac Meehan, teacher, Lemoore Middle College High School; Nicole Mora, Student Services, Lemoore High; Clara Rose, classified employee, Lemoore Elementary; David Martin, classified, Island school; Marcy Lawson, Student Services, Central School District, and Carrie Dozier, a classified employee in the Central Union District Office.
Other honorees included Ashley Mireles, a teacher at Parkview Middle School; Blanca Sanchez de Barajas, a classified employee at Parkview Middle School; Angela Toone, a teacher at Bret Harte Elementary; Laura Toone, a teacher at Bret Harte Elementary; Laura Duran, a classified employee, Corcoran Unified District Office; Lisa Cunha, teacher, Woodrow Wilson School; Preston Cooper, Student Services, Hanford Elementary School Office and Karen McConnell, Student Services, Hanford Elementary School Office.

Others included Joyce Martinez, a classified employee with Washington Elementary; Catherine Garman, Student Services, Hanford West; Ruben Valdovinos, a classified employee at Sierra Pacific; Christa Smith, teacher, Sierra Pacific; Dakota Vatcher, teacher, Kings River Hardwick; Cathay Victoria, classified employee, Kit Carson and May Yang, a teacher at Lakeside.
Others included Johnny Crain, classified, Frontier Elementary; Doug Hodson, teacher, Pioneer Middle School; Jicela Soto, classified, Avenal Adult School; and Alicia Jones, a teacher at Avenal High School.
