Former NAS Lemoore man booked into Kings County Jail for suspicion of molestation

The Kings County Sheriff’s Department has arrested a former Navy man on suspicion of sexually abusing his two children while on active duty at Naval Air Station Lemoore in 2010.

In May, Lyons County Sheriff’s officials forwarded a child molestation report to Kings County. Lyons County investigators were called about a Joshua D. Moon physically and sexually abusing his eight and 12-year old.

The abuse allegedly occurred when the suspect and his family were based at NAS Lemoore in 2010. He was on active duty but has since separated from the Navy.

After a six-week investigation by Kings County detectives, an arrest warrant was issued for Moon. He was arrested by Lyons County Sheriff’s and booked into the Lyons County Jail. Kings County detectives brought Moon back to Kings County on July 23 where he was booked. His bail was set at $400,000.
