Lady golfers second in final WYL meet, earn spot in Area Meet

Lemoore’s Dani Kinder, with her 44 at Monday’s final West Yosemite League Golf Match, finished sixth overall in league. At the same time her Tiger team, finished second in league play and qualified for the Area Meet.

Adriana Smith finished second for the Tigers with a 49 at the Kings Country Club meet. Aisiona Barrios had a 54 over the nine holes and Jayda Olaes checked in with a 56. Jordon Sheldon had a 62 and Annalisa Andrada finished with a 64 on the day.

The top team Monday was Redwood High School with their top shooter Sophia
Stetson with a superb 40. The best score of the day was turned in by Hanford West’s Hannah Faccini.

Previous Action

Kings Country Club was the site Monday of another West Yosemite League golf match, this time the Tigers finishing with a team total of 282 to place third behind Redwood and Hanford respectively. Dani Kinder again led the Tigers with her 48. Annelisa Andrada fired a 50 to help her team to the third place finish.

The low round was again turned in by Hanford West's Hannah Facchini with her impressive 40. Redwood's Sophia Stetson had a 41 on the nine holes.

 It was another productive day for the Lemoore Ladies Golf Team at Valley Oaks Golf Course as the Tigers finished second once again, behind Redwood High School. Again, Dani Kinder led the way with another 46 on nine holes. Jayda Olaes turned in a 47 to finished a stroke behind Kinder. Aiyana Barrios had an impressive 48 as the Tigers kept the pressure on Redwood High School.

Again Hanford West's Hannah Facchini took top honors with a 38, but her team finished at the bottom of the WYL pack.

Once again Lemoore’s girls’ golf squad turned in an impressive overall showing to finish second at a West Yosemite League combined meet at Valley Oaks Golf Club Thursday afternoon. Dani Kinder once again led the Tigers, firing an impressive 46 on nine holes. Jayda Olaes chipped in with a 50 while Aisana Barrios had a 51 on the Visalia course.

The winning team was Redwood. Hanford finished third while Hanford West was fourth.

The low score of the day was turned in by Hanford West’s Hannah Facchini.

Dani Kinder fired a 43 at Thursday’s West Yosemite League girls’ golf match at Valley Oaks to help lead her squad to a second place finish, barely behind Redwood. Kinder got plenty of help from her Tiger teammates, Jayda Olaes who chipped in with a 53 as well as Adrianna Smith, Jordan Sheldon and Aisara Barrios each firing 55s to ensure Lemoore’s second place finish.

“Dani Kinder shot well today. She shot a 43 and continues to improve her game,” said Tiger Coach Sonia Gonzales of her number one player.

The low score of the day went to Hanford West’s Hannah Freehan with her 37, though West took fourth overall.

Finishing in third place was Hanford while West took fourth and Mt. Whitney was fifth overall. El Diamante and Golden West brought up the rear.

“I am happy,” said Tiger Coach Sonia Gonzales. “The girls are making great progress and we have made some team goals and we’re all reaching together to meet those team goals.”

Lemoore’s Dani Kinder led her Tiger golf team to a victory in the Lady Tiger Golf Tournament held Monday, Sept. 9 at the Lemoore Golf Course. She fired an impressive even par 36 to lead her team, including Jayda Oloes, to a victory in the local tournament. Oloes had a 47.

Kinder, also had the West Yosemite League’s second best score in Thursday’s West Yosemite League match to lead her team to a second place finish. Kinder fired a 38 to finish a stroke behind Hanford West’s Hannah Facchini, who fired a 37.

Overall Lemoore finished second in the tourney only a point behind Redwood High School. Lemoore’s Oloes had a 46 while Annelisa Andrada fired a 53 to give the Tigers some traction.
