Rudy Salas, Lemoore’s assemblymember, was at Lemoore High School Thursday afternoon for an e-book demonstration where the first-term politician visited with students, administrators and library staff as they showed off the school’s new e-book readers.

“With this grant, Lemoore High School students will have access to the latest technology in educational materials,” said Salas. “I am excited to see how our local high school students are using technology to enhance their studies.”

The e-books were purchased with a $5,000 grant from the Barona Band of Mission Indians. The e-books will be used by students as sources for research projects.

According to librarian Cathy Zaharias, Salas seemed to enjoy the visit, meeting with Superintendent Debbie Muro as well as Principal Rodney Brumit. “Mr. Salas was instrumental in helping Lemoore High School apply for and win the $5,000 grant,” she said.
