Lemoore High School FFA takes part in Clovis Color Run

During the run, runners were showered with a rainbow of colored powder as they ran through the numerous archways along the 3.1 mile run. Lemoore FFA Officers registered for the event over a month ago and asked Diane Schuh (secretary at LHS), and head girls water polo coach Hillaree Bennett and assistant coach Stevie Blanchard to join them. Matt Moreno, FFA Advisor, his wife Kirby, Kalena Mellott (past FFA Officer), and Maggie Billingsley joined the fun as well. Most of the team jogged and walked the entire event, but some more athletic officers ran or jogged the entire event.
The LHS FFA Officer team wanted to do something a little out of the ordinary for team bonding event. They made custom shirts and tutus for the event to be colorful while running and even made a theme for this run, “Lemoore FFA; Promoting Agriculture and Healthy Living.” A very non-typical event for most FFA chapters, but the LHS FFA officers hope to share this event with other FFA Chapters and clubs on campus to maybe encourage others to someday participate in a fun and healthy way to spend time together out of school.
