Highway construction to slow traffic on Highway 43

The Department of Transportation (Caltrans) continues one way traffic control on State Route 43 in Tulare County between Deer Creek Bridge to the Kings County line near Corcoran and in Kings County between the 43 and 198 interchange to the Fresno county line near Hanford.

These closures will be necessary to allow construction crews to perform pavement rehabilitation operations.

The following closures will be in effect this week:

Northbound and Southbound State Route 43 will be reduced to one way traffic control in Tulare County between Deer Creek Bridge to the Kings county line near Corcoran and in Kings County between the 43/198 interchange to the Fresno county line near Hanford on Monday, October 21st through Friday, October 25th, 2013 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day.

Crews will be conducting one way traffic control on State Route 43 during this time with the use of flagging personnel to assist traffic through the work zone.  Commuters are reminded to obey flagging personnel and pay close attention to road construction vehicles.  Delays may last for up to 15 minutes, commuters are encouraged to use alternate routes if possible.

Closures may continue for longer periods of time each day if necessary, due to delays caused by uncontrollable events that may occur during construction.
