Lemoore High School’s Richard Doctor capped a brilliant football senior year with a superb performance in the annual Blue Grey All American Bowl held at ATT Stadium in Dallas, Texas. The talented running back, who led the Tigers to a 7-5 record and a spot in the Central Section playoffs, was just one of an elite group of high school football players invited to play in the All-American Bowl.

Doctor, who also earned Offensive Player of the Year honors from the West Yosemite League coaches, scored two touchdowns in the December 22 game in Dallas as his West team humbled the East 41-7.

Doctor caught a 6-yard touchdown pass from Luke Rubenzer from Arizona in the second quarter to give the West a 14-7 lead. He also scored on a 5-yard run in the third quarter to put his team up 35-7.

Doctor broke all kinds of scoring records for the Tigers in 2013. He finished the season with 2,504 yards on 297 carries and scored 32 touchdowns. He averaged 228 yards per game.

Joining Doctor on the All-WYL First Team were Tigers Rashaun Davis (linebacker), Bryce Benn (defensive line) and Adrian Garza, offensive line.

Second team selections included Carson Overmyer, Jerald Campbell, and Jayden Hunt.
