Stoney's Sand and Gravel is Lemoore Chamber of Commerce 2014 Business of the Year
Stoney’s is locally owned and operated by Mike and Carol Evans and they are a customer focused, successful business that has steadily grown over the past 29 years. They currently employ 25 persons.
In the community Stoney’s sponsors Little League and soccer teams, Lemoore school organizations and regularly donate time and materials to support the Lemoore High School Agriculture department.
Stoney’s has also sponsored chamber events like Rockin’ the Arbor and golf tournaments.
People who know Mike and Carol Evans know their compassion for others. They are always willing to help anyone in need of help, whether it’s organizing a fund raiser to benefit Children’s Hospital or donating hot dogs and beans for “Hot Dog Day” every third Wednesday of the month at the Church of the Savior soup kitchen.
Carol has annually put on a huge birthday party for the Kids of Royal Family Kids Camp, part of a network of camps, children’s clubs and child mentoring for abused, abandoned and neglected children in the Foster Care system. Through her work, Carol was appointed to the board of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), a national association that supports and promotes court-appointed advocates for abused or neglected children. The program supports thousands of children.
