Caltrans announces lane closures around new 19th Avenue overpass

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) in cooperation with Granite Construction announced this week that there will be scheduled lane closures as construction continues on the State Route 198 and 19th Avenue Interchange Project in Lemoore.

Lane closures next week will be as follows:

The number two lane (right lane) of eastbound and westbound State Route 198 between State Route 41 and Avenue 18 ½ (Vine Street) will be closed beginning Tuesday, January 21 at 12:00 p.m. to Friday evening, January 24, at 6:00 p.m.

During this closure, westbound State Route 198 will be reduced to one lane in each direction while crews complete the work. Motorists will experience delays and are encouraged to take alternate routes whenever possible.

This $36 million dollar project will construct a partial cloverleaf interchange with overcrossing bridge at 19th Avenue allowing access over State Route 198. Construction is anticipated to be complete in the Spring of 2015.
