Lemoore police, with assist from Hanford PD, apprehend home invasion suspects

Lemoore police, with assistance from the Hanford Police Department, helped to apprehend a trio of suspects who entered an apartment on E. Hanford Armona Road on February 16 and ordered an 18-year-old male and a 17-year-old female to lie down or they would be killed.

The male was hit with a shotgun on the head several times.

The suspects searched the apartment and took money, electronic items, and jewelry. As the suspects were loading the property into their vehicle the victims locked the front door and exited the apartment from their balcony and contacted neighbors. Witnesses reported seeing the three black males leaving the apartment complex in a silver Dodge Charger.

The male victim received minor injuries from the assault but declined any medical treatment. The female victim was not injured or assaulted during the robbery.

On Tuesday, February 18, at about 4 p.m. Hanford Police officer and a former Gang Task Force investigator, stopped a silver Dodge Charger in the area of Ivy and Brown streets. The officer was aware of the make of the car and the home invasion and knew from his gang task force experience that a Kebree Pickering, 19, of Hanford, drove the same make of car.

Hanford police contacted the occupants of the Charger and found Pickering driving with two passengers, 19-year-old Chase Trevon Tapie and 20-year-old Thesus Gunter, both of Hanford. They were detained and a search of the vehicle revealed three loaded firearms including a sawed off shotgun, a chrome revolver and a black and chrome semi-automatic handgun.

The officers also found a television and Xbox in the car, which may have been stolen during the home invasion. Methamphetamine was also found. Lemoore police detectives transported victims of the home invasion to the location of the traffic stop and they were able to identify the three suspects.

All three suspects were booked into the Kings County Jail with bail set at over $1 million each.
