Democratic Assemblymember Rudy Salas keeps racking up high-profile endorsements from Kings County elected officials. The latest is Kings County Sheriff David Robinson who this week endorsed Salas for re-election to the 32nd Assembly District. The popular Robinson is currently in his first term as the county sheriff.

Robinson joins a growing list of public safety groups and bi-partisan elected officials to support Assemblymember Salas for Re-Election.

"Public safety is paramount to healthy communities. I appreciate the support of Sheriff Robinson and look forward to continue working together towards safer neighborhoods, safer schools and safer places to do business" said Assemblymember Salas.

Salas played a pivotal role in preventing the release of thousands of state prisoners onto the streets by negotiating the re-opening of Community Correctional Facilities throughout the Central Valley; bringing much needed jobs and safer streets. Additionally, Salas says he’s been instrumental in improving the public safety of our communities by successfully advocating for millions in grant funds for the region.

"Rudy has my endorsement because he is willing to listen to my concerns when it comes to public safety issues facing Kings County," said Sheriff Robinson. "He seeks my input before making decisions that impact local law enforcement and he leaves out party politics and does what is right for our citizens."

Kings County Supervisors Doug Verboon, Tony Barba, and Richard Fagundes as well as Bakersfield Mayor Harvey Hall have also endorsed the Salas’ re-election efforts. They join groups such as the California Association of Highway Patrolmen, the Peace Officers Research Association of California, the Association of California State Supervisors, the Professional Engineers in California Government, and the California Association of Professional Scientists, and other elected officials to the list of endorsements Assemblymember Salas has received for his re-election.
