Kings Christian head baseball coach Keith Thomas and his Crusaders have some work left to do if they hope to repeat as East Sierra League champions. The Crusaders hit a slight bump in the road Wednesday, mustering just six hits in a disappointing 13-4 loss to Orange Cove which came into the game with a 3-5 ESL record. Kings Christian fell to 4-4 in league play and is 8-7 overall.

Kings trails league-leading Farmersville by three full games as it enters the homestretch of league play. Farmersville is 7-1 in the ESL and is two games up on 6-3 Orosi High School. The Crusaders are in fourth place currently, and tackle Farmersville again Friday night.

The Crusaders will have to win all their remaining games and get some help from Farmersville to challenge for the league title again.

Orange Cove was ahead 11-0 before the Crusaders scored four times in the third inning. But that was all they were to get.
