Tennis duo advance to Valley tournment in doubles action with three wins at Area Tourney

Lemoore’s top tennis aces earned a trip to the Central Valley Tennis Tournament, to be held at Hanford’s Sierra Pacific High School on May 16 and 17. Lukas Brown and Michael Sinaga, who won the West Yosemite League championship in doubles, dropped just one set in three matches Friday and Saturday at the Central Section Area tourney at Redwood High School to advance in Valley tournament play.

Lemoore’s dynamic duo was rated the fourth seed. The top four seeds in doubles and three of the four seeds in singles will be gunning for doubles and singles titles at Sierra Pacific this weekend.

In last weekend’s action Brown and Sinaga lost the first set 6-1 before bouncing back to win the third and fourth sets by identical 6-4 scores to a team of Botehlo and Bakker of Immanuel High School. Brown and Sinaga then beat a team from CVC 6-3, 6-2 and then a Selma doubles team 6-3, 6-2 to earn a spot in the Valley finals.
