Lemoore PD and Kings County Gang Task Force apprehend stabbing suspects

Aided by the Kings County Gang Task Force, it took the Lemoore Police Department just a few hours to arrest four suspects in a stabbing that occurred on Wednesday, August 20 at approximately 3:40 p.m.

The Gang Task Force and Lemoore officers arrested 19-year-old Antonio Torres and three 15-year-old males after working throughout the night to apprehend the suspects.

Earlier that day Lemoore police officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Devon Drive for the stabbing that had just occurred. When officers arrived they found a 17-year-old male who had been stabbed in the abdomen. According to the police, the victim was not cooperative, but officers were able to determine that there were 2-4 suspects in a vehicle who confronted the victim.

One of the suspects stabbed the victim and then they all fled in the same vehicle. The victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance. His wound did not appear to be life threatening.

The suspects were booked in the Kings County Jail and juvenile hall, respectively, for attempted murder, conspiracy, destroying evidence, and a gang enhancement.
