Lemoore’s always consistent volleyball program, under the direction of Coach Rachel Taylor, is planning on making another run at a West Yosemite League volleyball crown. And the Tigers will have some returning players to guide the way, including the talented senior Jessica Taylor, a four-year starter for the Lemoore squad who has already helped lead the Tigers to six straight winning sets.

Lemoore opened its season with a 3-0 victory over Sunnyside High School last week, and on Tuesday (Sept. 2) the Tigers beat Edison High School in straight sets 3-0.  In that game Taylor had 15 kills and Leah Rodrigues contributed 16 digs. Returning starter Faith Wyatt came up with four blocks on the night as Lemoore beat their counterparts 25-15, 25-17, 26-24.

Lemoore won't play again until Sept. 11 when the Tigers travel to Tulare Union for a non-league encounter. The next day Lemoore's talented volleyballers jump a bus for San Luis Obispo where they will take part in a two-day tournament.
