Ladies water polo scores pair of wins to open the 2014 varsity season

Lemoore varsity girls’ water polo team won its first two games of the season, an 8-3 victory over Kingsburg High School and on Tuesday, an easy 10-4 win at Reedley High.

In the Reedley contest Emma Souza, Kelly Mellott, and Matti Cunningham each scored three goals while Macy Buhl had six saves and three steals for the Tigers. Finally, Gianna Lucas had a goal and three steals while Emily Larmon had seven steals on the night.

Lemoore’s next action is Sept. 19 in the Hanford Tournament.
