Tigers rebound for easy win over Mt. Whitney in girls' tennis action

Lemoore’s varsity girls’ tennis team rebounded from a disappointing Monday loss to Redwood to beat Mt. Whitney 5-4 Thursday on the LHS courts. The Tigers lost 9-0 to a powerful Ranger team, but came back with a vengeance against the Pioneers.

Lemoore’s top ace, Angelika Loewen easily beat Mt. Whitney’s Ana Tobon 6-1, 6-2 while No. 2 ace Kristina Raulino shutout Mykayla Miller 6-0, 6-0. Kaitlin Raulino defeated Colleen Busby 7-6 (7-4), 6-0 to notch another Tiger win.

In doubles action Kristina Raulino and Loewen beat a Pioneer team 8-1 and Kaitlin Raulino and Adelle Ashby won 8-5.

In Lemoore JV action the Tigers lost 4-1.
