Tiger water polo boys score 22 goals to outpace Hanford in pool action

Lemoore's water polo boys had a busy week in the pool. They beat Hanford on Oct.

14, 22-17 to end a five-game losing streak and then beat Hanford West on Thursday night 23-3 before winning three of four in a Clovis tournament. They opened with a 8-6 win over Clovis High School and repeated the feat with another 13-5 win over the same team.

The Tigers then defeated Clovis West 9-8 before finally falling to Clovis 14-10.

Against Hanford earlier in the week the Tigers got nine goals from Spencer Stinger as he led the onslaught against the Bullpups. Roman Benitez chipped in with six goals while Ethan Barnhart, Jonah Burke, and Jake Hansen each scored twice.

Against Hanford West Peter Castro led the scoring assault with five goals while Barnhart chipped in with four. Chase McDonald and Stinger each had three goals.

Lemoore is 13-9 overall and 2-4 in the West Yosemite League.
