Lemoore woman brutally assaulted by suspect following her early Saturday morning

Lemoore Police are seeking a suspect described as a black-adult male about 5-7, slim, but muscular who was wearing plaid pajama bottoms and a black or charcoal gray jacket that went down to around his knees. Police say he was also wearing tennis shoes and gloves, and say the suspect sexually assaulted a Lemoore woman as she was walking on Oakdale Lane and South Olive St. on early Saturday morning around 2 a.m.

Lemoore Officers were dispatched to Adventist Medical Center for a report of a woman who had been sexually assaulted in the city of Lemoore. The victim told Investigators that she had been walking in the area of Oakdale Lane and South Olive St. at approximately 2 a.m. when she noticed a male subject following her. The victim stated she continued walking northbound on Olive where she noticed the subject continuing to follow her.

The victim then stopped and confronted the subject asking him why he was following her. The victim then turned around and was preparing to dial 911 when the subject suddenly struck her in the face with his arm. The male grabbed her by the face and neck area and twisted her head to the right.  She began to scream and the male immediately told her that if she continued to scream he would snap her neck.

The victim told Investigators that the suspect had pinned her head down with his forearm as he sexually assaulted her. The suspect threatened the victim by telling her not to report the assault because he knew where she lives.

After the assault was over, the victim was able to walk home where she contacted a family member who then took her to the hospital. The victim sustained injuries to her face and mouth.

Anyone who thinks he or she may recognize the description of the suspect is urged to call Lemoore Police Detective Albert Avelar at 559-925-6859.
