Motorcyclist killed in accident in Lemoore Friday night

A 23-year-old member of the U.S. Navy died Friday, the result of a motorcycle accident in the area of Beverly Drive and West Spring Lane. The accident occurred approximately 9 p.m. Friday night when police arrived on the accident scene in front of an apartment complex on Beverly.

The motorcyclist, whose name was not released, sustained major injuries and was airlifted to Regional Medical Center in Fresno, where he later died as a result of those injuries.

Police say it appears that this was a single vehicle accident but it is still under investigation. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call the Lemoore Police Department at 559-924-9574.
