Avenal man arrested on charges of child molestation

On April 16, Lemoore police officers were notified of a possible child molestation that had occurred in the City of Lemoore. A 12-year -female reported that 35-year-old Omar Cabrera of Avenal is suspected of having had sexual relations with her on three separate occasions.

The investigation was turned over to Lemoore detectives. On April 21, with the assistance of the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, the victim was interviewed and provided details of the three incidents. Details are not being released at this time because the investigation is ongoing.

After the interview with the victim was completed, Lemoore detectives arrested Cabrera in Hanford. Cabrera was later booked into the Kings County Jail on numerous child molestation charges. Cabrera's bail was set at $995,000
