Lemoore felon arrested by Lemoore police on gun and ammunition charges

Lemoore police officers, on Wednesday, May 6, at about 3:30 a.m. arrested 21-year-old Anthony Nieto on charges that included being a convicted felon in possession of firearms, holding large capacity magazines, and possession of ammunition and revocation of probation.

Police officers were dispatched to Vista Ct. in Lemoore regarding a verbal disturbance. When they arrived on the scene they contacted an intoxicated Nieto, who was had been involved in an argument with a female.

Nieto was arrested for being drunk in public and told the officer that he had ammunition in his possession. The officer found a box of rifle ammunition in his pants pocket. Nieto also told the officer that he was on probation for a drug-related offense. Officers searched Nieto’s home and located a high-capacity rifle magazine, three shotguns, and one assault rifle. All of these items were confiscated by the officers.  

Nieto was subsequently arrested for being a convicted felon in possession of firearms, possession of a large capacity magazine, prohibited person in possession of ammunition, and revocation of probation. Anthony was booked into the Kings County Jail and his bail was set at $115,000.
